Emily Silcock

Welcome to my website. 

I am a Ph.D. student in Economics at Harvard University and an affiliate of the Institute for Quantitative Social Science. 

My research interests focus on Political Economy, especially media, conflict and aid, and using deep learning methods for text analysis. 

Previously, I was a Pre-doc with Melissa Dell and prior to that I worked for the governments of Djibouti and Ethiopia, as an ODI fellow.
